Ruby Nell Bridges Hall was born on September 9th, 1954. She is well known because her and some other girls were supposed to enter and all white school. Ruby was the only one to show up at the all white school. That same day Ruby was escorted to school by National Guards! Every white kid at the school left because Ruby was a colored child. Every day before Ruby went to school she prayed. One day she forgot and prayed in front of a lot of people who hated her. Thanks to Ruby Bridges now we have nonsegregated schools.
