Today's MINI-BIO is on Wilma Rudolph
Wilma Glodean Rudolph was born on June 23rd, 1940 and died on November 12th, 1994. Wilma was a gold medalist. When she was young she was diagnosed with a disease called Polio which paralyzed her from the waist down. She had a lot of Perseverance and fought through her disease. In 1940 she was known as one of the fastest woman on the track. Which made her the first ever African- American woman to be able to win a gold medal. Thanks to her we have more African-American's trying to play sports.
