Freda Josephine McDonald was born on June 3rd, 1906 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a very talented dancer and the first African-American woman to star in a major motion picture. She played Zouzou in Zou-Zou. Baker died on April 12th, 1975 in Paris, France.
