The Shirelles

Today's Mini-Bio is on The Shirelles

            The Shirelles is the first African-American girl group. This group consisted of Addie Harris, Shirley Owens, Beverly Lee, and Doris Coley. Founded in 1957 by Tiara Records, The Shirelles released there first hit song I Met Him On Sunday. The group was later sold to Decca Records, Scepter Records, Bell Records, then RCA Records. The group ended in 1982.
